All Year 6 pupils have been sent home with an activity pack. With so many different activities, it can be overwhelming to know where to start, so here is a handy guide to what to complete on a daily basis.

Maths: Pupils should choose a worksheet from the pack sent home and then choose a question set (A, B or C).  This work can be completed in the Maths book. Answers have been provided so that pupils can self mark. Please contact either Mr Waterfield or Miss Clarke if your child is struggling with any concept and we will try to provide as much support as possible. Pupils can also practice their times tables fluency via Times Table Rock Stars.

Writing: Activities and picture prompts are being provided on our Year 6 Twitter page. Once pupils have chosen a prompt that interests them, they can complete this work in the English book. Please note, a piece of writing may take more than one day, particularly if writing at length. Activities are also being set online via Purple Mash. These online activities will be marked by teachers so pupils gain some feedback on their writing.

Reading: Please encourage your child to keep reading on a daily basis. If your child reaches the end of a book, they can write a book review in their English book if they wish.

Active Learning: Let's keep moving! Where it is safe to do so, exercise and make the most of the sunshine. Joe Wicks is helping us all stay healthy with a daily PE lesson. This can be streamed via his YouTube channel here.

Topic Work: The possibilities with topic work are endless! Pupils may choose to continue to learn about our previous topic: 'World War 2'. Alternatively, pupils could begin to learn about our new topic: 'Hola, Mexico!' which focuses on the geography and history of Mexico. Work around this could be project-based and we can't wait to see the creative ways you choose to show your new knowledge. Use the following link to access work:

Work via this link will be updated weekly with new activities and lessons based on our new topic.

The activities below have been given as optional tasks to complete. These do not necessarily need to be printed off to be completed, although this is an option if you wish to do so.
