Head's Welcome

Miss Lyndsey Beckett, Headteacher

Thank you for taking an interest in our school.

If you would like a tour of Sherrier please contact Mrs Young in our office to book a convenient time. We are always happy to speak to our parents in a variety of ways so please talk to us

Sherrier is a vibrant, busy and exciting place to be. We are all very proud of the children who come here and all that they achieve during their ‘journey’ through the school.

The school has high expectations of behaviour and achievement and we encourage all learning, (academic, personal and learning that takes place outside of school). Our children are taught to be well-mannered and respectful as well as to think for themselves. All of these qualities are built on in day to day teaching and in a way of working we use called P4C (Philosophy for Children).

As a Church school,we have a strong Christian ethos that is based on values such as care, respect and friendship and this is always evident in the way that staff and children interact with each other at our school.

Each year group are Ambassadors for our Christian values and will be exploring their identified value throughout the year.

FS/Y1: Friendship

Y2: Courage

Y3: Thankfulness

Y4:Compassion

Y5:Trust

Y6:Forgiveness

The vision for the school includes the aims for 2016-2019 in which we have based our ideas on ‘The Beckett List’ – a set of shared values, aims and experiences that we would want to provide s for all children before they leave at the end of Year 6.

Please see the page in ‘About Our School’ for more information.

If you would like to know any more about the school please don’t hesitate to contact us and we would be happy to help in any way we can!
